Got a text message in the morning of a Red Phalarope at Hazlet State Park on Carlyle Lake in Illinois. We didn't get there until about 3pm but it was right were Doug said. This was a life bird for us.
A few of the birds seen, complete set and larger sizes in gallery.

I'm just an amateur that loves to capture the beauty around us. Nothing escapes me, be it bugs, animals, especially birds, landscapes, sunsets, infrared or macros, if it’s moving or not. After retiring from the Aerospace industry after 40 years I've been able to concentrate on birding and photographing them.
Please feel free to browse my many galleries.
