11/15 Mountain Bluebird (MOBL)

A western bird, Mountain Bluebird, rare for this state was spotted the day before. The next morning I was off to find it. After driving back and forth on the gravel road a couple times I finally spotted the Mountain Bluebird at about 430 yards out on a fence line. The 1st photo below was the first sighting and I used a 2x + 1.4x on my 500mm lens.
Location: SE 341 Rd, near Warrensburg, Mo., Johnson County, Missouri. Potential 12th state record and earliest fall record.
Also visited Finger Lake State Park near Columbia, Mo.
The Mountain Bluebird is No. 319 on my "Bird Species Photographed in Missouri" list. See gallery here.
