Received an email alert about a Burrowing Owl found in Monroe County Illinois and was out the door quickly. This is a western bird and very rare this far east. The first thumb shows the Burrowing Owl, white spot just left of center of right clump. Also few Bobolinks and Dickcissels in the area.

  1. Beautiful birds! We had a burrowing owl nest on the property that we were building our first house on. The builder had to wait until nesting season was over before they could start.
