9/20-21 Red Knot

Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary (RMBS/Riverlands) - St. Charles County, MO
A rare interior US visitor, a juvenile Red Knot, showed up at the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary. I was about 40 miles away when I got the call and hurried up there. Unfortunately the bird couldn't be re-found. The next morning I was back looking when it flew in just below us. It is No. 335 on my list of Bird Species Photographed in Missouri.

A few of the birds seen, complete set and larger sizes in gallery.
