8/15 Neotropic Cormorant

Highlight of the trip was the Neotropic Cormorant at Smithville Lake. It was about 500 yards out from access 14 so photographing was not good. We finished at the Squaw Creek NWR which did not have much mud as they were starting to fill some pools for the ducks. We did get lucky to find two Sandhill Cranes though.

The Neotropic Cormorant takes me up to 318 on my "Bird Species Photographed in Missouri" list. See gallery here

A few of the birds seen, complete set and larger sizes in gallery.
