7/19 Horseshoe Lake

Horseshoe Lake
A Long-tailed Jaeger showed up at Horseshoe Lake in Illinois. This is a fairly rare bird for the interier US. Lois and I went over there last Friday 7/17 but only saw the bird at a distance. I returned Sunday 7/19 and was able to see it much closer. This is my 313th bird species photographed in the St. Louis 50 mile Circle.

6/11 Western Kingbirds

Western Kingbirds around Bridgeton and Hazelwood
Cruised around Bridgeton and Hazelwood looking for Western Kingbirds.
Two with nest at Bridgeton Ballpark by handball courts. Possible two along Prouhet Farm Rd. One on Ferguson Rd. west of flood area. Two with nest at substation on Fee Fee Rd. Two on Industrial Dr between Lindbergh and Fee Fee. None were seen at end of St. Charles Rock Road.

4/30 Snowy Plover - EBCA

Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area
A rare Snowy Plover for Missouri showed up at Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area.
It is No. 340 on my list of Bird Species Photographed in Missouri.
